The new Baratza Sette 270 is the first coffee mill in which the coffee falls directly from the grinder into the container. Coffee residues in the machine hardly ever occur. A real innovation for everyone who values high end espresso or filter coffee - and all that for a price under 500€!

Another user-friendly innovation of this coffee mill is the holder system. It can be easily changed from the grinding container to the portafilter. In addition, all preparers such as the Hario V60 can be attached to the holder system and the coffee can be ground directly into the preparer. The grinder system can be removed completely and cleaned very easily.

In our tests in the roasting facility, we also noticed positively that the ground material was quite homogeneous and the feared "scatter" of the material didn’t occur. We must say that the BaratzaSette has practically all the advantages of the more expensive gastronomy mills, which usually cost over 1,000€.

Only the grinding disc diameter of 40 mm is smaller than the one of a common gastronomy mill (which usually has a size of 60 mm and more). But the 40 mm diameter is completely sufficient for home use. For us theBaratza Sette 270 is an absolute success and a real highlight as an espresso or filter coffee mill for home use or as an additional mill for seasonal specialty coffees in the catering trade.

The latest mill from Baratza represents a real innovation in the coffee mill sector, for which it has already been awarded as "Best New Product" by the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America). TheBaratza Sette is the only mill with a conical grinder system in which the outer part of the grinder rotates and the inner part is fixed. This new grinding technology enables the Sette to achieve an incredible grinding speed of up to 5.5 g/ s.

The Sette is immediately recognizable in terms of design, because the Italian name refers to its form: it is shaped like a 7. Due to this shape the motor can be installed behind the grinder system instead of under the grinder system (as it is the fact with almost every other mill). So the ground coffee can fall directly from the grinder and less coffee residues remain in it.
