Baratza Sette 270Wi (Coffee/ Espresso Mill with Scale)

DESCRIPTION 

In the Baratza Sette 270W for the first time the weighing technology from Acaia is installed in a coffee mill for private use. This allows precise dosing by weight. In contrast to timer-based mills, the adjustment of the grinding degree or a change in the type of coffee is irrelevant; the same amount of coffee is always ground.

Using the control panel, three different quantities can be defined and saved in increments of 0.1 g. Of course a manual operation with any amount of grinding is possible as well.

The Baratza Sette series (Italian for ’seven’) sets new standards for espresso mills. The new grinding technology was developed and brought to perfection in Liechtenstein – over the period of several years. The amazingly simple construction, the efficiency of the grinding system and last but not least its durability areextraordinary.

With conventional conical grinders, the lower part of the grinder rotates, the upper part is fixed. The Baratza Sette functions the other way around, made possible by the horizontally installed motor. The coffee is ground almost twice as fast as with conventionally designed mills with a grinder of the same size. By inserting different ring washers (included in the scope of delivery), the mill is suited for all types of coffee, from very fine to very coarse.

And something else is different too: The ground coffee falls directly into the portafilter or the collecting container, without going through an ejection chamber. Almost no ground coffee remains in the mill. An adjustment of the degree of grinding therefore has an immediate effect.

The grinding degree can be setextremely precisely by using two controllers. The macro controller offers 30 degrees and specifies the direction. The infinitely variable micro-controller is used for fine tuning. The setting range extends from very finely ground espresso to coarse hand infusion coffee (also forKarlsbader/ Bayreuther carafes).

The Baratza 270W also uses Bluetooth. Real enthusiasts can use it to set and control all settings.

In the built-in, adjustable holding system, you can insert both your portafilter as well as the supplied collecting container or also the containers of the most common brewing systems (Hario, Clever, Able Kone) and grind directly into them. For a secure fit, the portafilter is fixed with the built-in hook.

The bean container can hold 300 - 400 g of coffee. It can be closed at the bottom and is therefore easily removable. This is not only practical when cleaning, but also when filling in beans.
